Manage subscription
Use this flow for the two jobs people usually mean by "billing": starting Pro for the first time, or changing an existing paid subscription.
Start Pro for the first time
- Open Tools > Billing on the web app.
- Click Upgrade Account.
- Choose your billing cycle if more than one term is available.
- Pick how many restaurant slots you want covered.
- Continue to secure Stripe checkout.
Some workspaces expose both monthly and annual terms during checkout. If annual billing is configured for your account, it appears as a selectable option before Stripe opens.
Manage an existing subscription
After the company is already on Pro, the Billing page becomes the control panel for live subscription changes.
From there you can:
- review the current plan and status
- update the slot count
- open the Stripe billing portal
Checkout vs. billing portal
Use checkout when you are starting a subscription or adding coverage from a non-subscribed state.
Use the billing portal when you already have a Stripe-backed subscription and need to:
- update payment details
- review subscription details
- handle payment problems
- manage invoices directly in Stripe
Status labels you may see
- Active means the subscription is in good shape.
- Past due or Unpaid means a payment issue needs attention.
- Paused means billing has stopped and access may be limited until it resumes.
- Incomplete means checkout was started but not finished.
If Home shows a billing reminder, go back to Billing on the web app and finish the pending action there.
Important limits
- Billing is hidden on iOS.
- Some billing actions depend on your company role.
